    Ball A has a charge of +3 Coulombs
    Ball B has a charge of 5 Coulombs. What is the net electric charge?

    Well, if net something means the total of these two things. So, add the two charges! :)

    Note that you have to consider whether the charges are both positive, or if one carry a negative charge.
