Should my husband's best friend be angry with me?
Hi, My husband's best friend and I shared a drunken 10 seconds of intimacy. It took me all of 2 days to tell my husband. My husband is OKAY with it, sort of. He's going to try to forgive me and we're trying to move past it. But now, his best friend will not talk to me because I told my husband and he, therefore, had to tell his wife. He didn't want to tell them anything, but I'm a firm believer in owning up to your mistakes, and if it were me, I would want to know.
Do you think he has a right to be angry with me? My husband will eventually forgive his friend as well, and I don't want things to be any more uncomfortable than they already will be.

He can be angry at you and also at his self.

I would say this friendship is over no matter what anyway

You did the right thing to own up to your mistakes. If your husband's friend has issues with that, then he needs to work that out in his own head. Ultimately, you needed to deal with the mess-up you made in your marriage and those who blame you for that aren't worth you worrying.

I hope things get better for you soon!

Why shouldn't he be angry? He's in trouble now because you spoke up. He probably feels like nothing needed to be said, and it doesn't sound like you discussed it with him before you spoke up. He's probably angry with himself for getting drunk and being stupid.

Part of setting things right is accepting that people WILL be angry at you for the things you did against them.

Yes he has a right to be mad at you, but who cares? You did what you had to for yourself.
