Have they explained why they are against your relationship? Is the caste difference the only issue? Have you listened to their objections with an open mind?

Do they have someone in mind they would prefer for you to marry?

When I read this type of question, I have to ask if you and your 'lover' have sat down and discussed what the future would be like if you were to marry? It is my understanding that each caste has its own culture and traditions. How would you compromise on raising your children and other issues where traditions might clash? Being able to answer these questions may help your parents understand that you are serious and have thought through your decision.

How is her family reacting to the relationship?

I understand how important family and the duty to family is. Could you walk away from them and not allow the negative emotions to affect your relationship with your 'lover'?
