    Creative Business name for event and media company

    Something catchy but meaningful.

    There is a restaurant here called Alchemy and their tag line is taking something basic and making it amazing (or something along those lines)

    You would have to check the copyright issues and make sure the name you chose is available.

The company was out of business in April, 2005. We made some payments to this company for the first 3 months in 2005. Their phone is disconnected. We are not able to contact anyone in the company. No tax id obtained. No withholding. Is it still make sense to file 1099 for this company?
