    AMHD Conventions
    I have a crazy idea that is not that realistic but would be very fun in theory. Since most of our member are from the USA with a few Canadians, I was thinking we could have annual AMHD conventions in major cities in North America. The convention could be held at a large hotel and members would travel there on a certain weekend every year. We would all wear nametags with our AMHD login names and everyone could meet and talk. I think it would be really fun to do.

    People have suggested that on a couple of the past sites like this. Nothing ever came of it and some people like being anonymous.
    If you had it here I would go... it got to bet this G-20 we are having.

    This is neither a crazy idea nor a new one. Local, regional and national get togethers have been proposed several times. But, especially in today's economy, travel budgets are tight and generally nothing comes of it.

    Planning something like this requires some advance planning and often people don't want to commit that far ahead.

    My vote is somewhere beautiful with a beach, where wearing a nametag would be difficult... :cool:

    I take it that it would be a nudist beach then :p

    Anywhere with a bar is fine by me, the underage ones can sit just outside drinking mocktails :cool:

    Doesn't have to be that. I am just saying, if we are on the beach the guys won't have shirts on so I won't be wearing a nametag, and if the girls are wearing proper attire they will have no room for a nametage either! ;)

    I hate name tags. Only wear them when the boss says LINDA WHERES your name tag!?
    I'm up for it. Convention center is booked with Obama sometime this month, I have my school reunion next month. Squeeze it in here somewhere sometime and I got to make it.
    Wouldn't want to pass it up for anything.
    Just no name tags.

    Really, all you need is just people on board. If you look at AMHD's stats, you will see there are thousands of members, some of them very active. Really, just anouth members within an a few hundred miles of each other just need to network together and agree on a meeting place.

    A pot luck would be cool.

I have a 1989 honda civic hatch back with about 170k+ on the engine it stopped click miles at 168k and that was two years ago so it is possiable that it has over 200k on it.
