    Most laptop/notebook computers have a (numeric key)pad lock function that can be turned off by holding a key marked "fn" while pressing one of the function keys at the top of the keyboard. See your owner's manual for instructions. If you can't locate the owner's manual the manufacturer may have a downloadable version available through the support pages on their web site.
