    Factory reset
    I Have an ASUS A6M laptop,I want to reset it to factory setting so I can sell it with none of my info on it,I have the 2 recovery discs,but don't know how to use them as there manual is in Spanish as it was bought there can anyone help

    My boyfriend (he's actually the computer wiz, not me) recommends doing a full on reformatting using a windows xp cd. He says that usually the recovery cds will leave your files and everything there still, even if you can't see them and all you need is another program to get them.

After weeks to trying to remove a Trojan virus from my computer, I was told that I could reset to the factory operating system to get rid of it. I realize I will lose all of my prgrams, but I don't care any more. How do I do this?
