    My acer does not have a disk drive
    My baby lost his balance and fell onto my laptop. Now there is a black screen with white writing that says "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key... Help please.

    You can check the BIOS and see if a hard drive is recognized. It may just need reseated.

    Entering BIOS differs so knowing you're laptop mnfgtr helps!
