I've been working for the same company almost four years. I am four months pregnant and I realized that I don't have the SUD SDI tax on my paycheck. I asked the accountant of the company and apparently it's mistake from them. Anyway, I will have this tax on my paycheck next month (october). My due date regarding my pregnancy is March 2013.
My question is : Am I going to have the same allowances when I will be on maternity leave ? I think it's 60-65 % of my salary. I just want to make sure that I won't lose money because my company didn't do what they were suppose to do.

Thank you very much for your help.

Only a handful of states have sui/sdi and you are going to have to ask both your company and your state about what happens when you are on maternity leave after contributing only about 5 months. Since the employee pays it, I have a feeling you may have to pay retroactively - IF the state will accept that (and if you are willing to pay for 4 years worth). But you might have a case against your employer for failing to deduct, with them having to cover your leave and cover the last 4 years. Perhaps a negotiation is possible.
