Is it legal to change someone's work shedule in the middle on the month the day before
Is it legal to change someone's work shedule in the middle on the month the day before the change?

My boss gives us our schedule for for the month usually the day bofore the 1st when it starts? Is this legal? Also she often will change the schedule in the middle of the month and at random times giving us "no times" notice that are schedule will be different the very next day! And she does not ask she does it and e mails it and if we are lucky she tells us she e maild it. But there have been times no one even knew. Then if a shift is missed because of it she will write the person up. Do I legally have to fallow her new schedules all the time. Is this even legal. If it helps I work at a drive through coffee shop. Alos we are allowed no lunch breaks were we are relived of duty. It's a really weird thing... like she says we have a lunch but even if there are two people there we are not allowed to leave the building. And we are sometimes alone which means we don't get a break in there are customers. Is this Legal? This is in Oregon at a coffee shop.

Your boss can do anything they want with your schedule... and change it every week if they want or give you different hours every day... including fire you for complaining about it.

Unless you have a labor contract and a Union... and even then the boss has broad latitude in this.

Where did you get the idea the underlings called all the shots? Sorry to inform you.. This is how things really work.

There are no laws governing how an employer schedules their employees other than the amount of time they can work in a shift.
