    Need to know
    I work part -time for a home care agency as a home Health Aid they hire the Aids under part-time only In there employee handbook if any employee works on a holiday they are to receive holiday pay but they don't stand by it only employees that work in the office receive cab they do this

    Make sure to read the handbook carefully, so that you are sure of the policy. That being said, though, what is your question?

    Sure, if employees let them. There is no law that covers this directly, just the law that says an employee handbook is part of your agreement to work and you can sue if the company goes against their own written policy. Make sure first that the handbook specifically says ALL EMPLOYEES, and not further back in the book the heading for FULL TIME only. It isn't common to give part timers holiday pay.
    If you are positive, then see how many other employees you can get together to talk to your employer in a non-confrontational way first.
