How to reopen a Workman's comp case?
I was injured on the job around 2001 and had a Workman's comp case. I had 2 knee surgery's and received a settlement around 2003. As part of my settlement I took less money and kept the life time medical option. My attorney has since retired and my orthopedic doctor has retired. I am now having allot of problems with my knee and need medical attention. I do not now have a doctor and need to reopen this case? I have no idea how to or where to start. Can anyone give me any advice?

From what your saying there is no longer a case to reopen. It went to settlement. After that the case is closed. Having said that it appears you got lifetime medical as part of the deal. So you don't have to do anything more to get it. Call the workmans comp people to see where you submit the bills to. Who was going to pay the settlement? The company or the workmans comp people?

If you left it open for future medical bills, you merely notify the workers comp insurance company, make a doctor appointment, they verify it with the insurance company and you go.
If you left it open for future doctor visits, it is still open

You go to the doctor and submit the bills to them, if they don't pay, sue under the written terms of the lifetime care
