    Extended warranties
    I was in Radio-Shack once buying a cheap pair of AA batteries.

    Salesman: Would you like to purchase an extended warranty for $0.28?

    Did this really happen? If it did, then it is hilarious that they would try to nickel and dime someone for something that will have a limited life anyway!

    Just as an aside here - I once left my used gloves, that I had worn to the store, in the shopping cart at K-mart when I was going through the checkout. The checkout person tried to charge me for them!

    Supposedly it did. Got it off another website. I thought I was better told in "1st person". English terms are rusty.
