    Native American artist hallmark
Would like to know the jewelry artist of a necklace I have. It is signed A. Long with an A under it that also has a straight mark coming down from the crosspiece of the A creating an arrow pointed up to the name of the artist. Thanks for any help!

I believe that hallmark is for Alice Long, Navajo, and the symbol under her name is for the Atkinson Trading Company where she worked. Ref: page 108 & 240 of Barton's "Hallmarked of the Southwest"

You could send a photo to libby@tumbleweedsjewelry and I could double check for you.
