    Antique Watch
Has anyone ever heard of a watch brand named "Emel"? I have an antique watch from my grandma that is of good quality gold. The name on the face reads EMEL. Now I know there is a famous watch maker named Ebel... and I'm certain my watch says EMEL. I have done searches online and have not come up with one single reference to this brand of watch. Also, the band says "Hadley" which I know is a known band maker... the band appears to match very well to the watch, so I wondered if Hadley at one time made watches. I wrote Hadley but never received a response. I applied for tickets to the Antiques Roadshow, but curiosity is eating me up... if anyone knows anything, please comment! Oh, the watch appears to be Art Deco style.

Thanks, Fr Chuck, but nothing on any of the links there provided any info : ( And I didn't win the tickets to the Antiques Roadshow!! Boo!! I guess I will try to find a good appraiser somewhere around here and I sincerely hope to get correct info about the watch!

Still, if anyone else has info, please answer! I just find it so strange that there is not one single item online concerning this watch! Imagine that! I thought you could find anything and everything online... guess not! Maybe that means it really really rare and I've been a millionaire all this time and didn't know it! Wishful thinking!

I recently used an antiquing kit from Rustoleum's American Accents collection and the look is awful. The base coat is ivory and the stain top coat is a brown color. It doesn't look antiqued to me, it just resembles an off white color that someone threw muddy water on. After reading online...
