Is it OK to say darood (ASALAT O WASLAM O ALYKA KA YARASOOL ALLAH... )

Your question looks like... is it OK to drive a Jeep. If it does not seem bad.. why would it be not OK ? Unfortunately, there exist some sheikhs who try to distort the soul of Islam... so be careful.. and do not listen to one opinion.. and do not trust many recent sheikhs.. instead trust good sunna ressources and great imams. For example, Ibn taymiyah is not trusted by many great sunna imams at his era and for that he was put in jail several times.
