    Hi there,

    For some reason I cannot open my new Yahoo email account. I've opened it twice before, but now it won't open. Everything is verified. Also it isn't forwarding to my blackberry. How do I do that?

    I'm not sure about forwarding, but I know we had a client at a consulting company I used to work that used Yahoo for all their mail. It was a mess... yahoo regularly does maintenance on some of the database servers without letting you know, and your mail will be inaccessible while most others will be fine.

    I'd suggest waiting about 4 or 6 hours and see if it's accessible then. If not, I would either use another email account, or call their customer service department, and ask if they are having problems with their email system.

    Ah, my bad. I'd try to give them a call.

    What does it do when you try to sign in? In my experience, when there's a system problem, it either gives one of those oh so generic Yahoo error message (Something like "Error 6: Your mailbox is not available") or just a blank white page shows up after you log in.

    Is it a free mail account, or do you pay for it?

    It's a free account. And it says, "Invalid ID or password.
    Please try again using your full Yahoo! ID."

    Usually that's an issue with the account. Have you tried the "Lost/Forgot your password" link? You should be able to reset the password from there to something new, so if there were any errors, it will resync your account in all their databases.

    Yes, I have... three times, it finally worked.

    Now, I just need to figure out how to get my emails forwarded to my blackberry.
