    What's the difference between downloading speed and the bandwidth of the internet?
    Hi,

    I am Faisal. I want to know that what is the difference between downloading speed and the bandwidth of the internet connection. For example I have a 4MB DSL internet connection this means it has a bandwidth of 4MB then why not its downloading speed is 4mb/s instead it’s only 600kb/s.:(

    Please answer my query as soon as possible.

    Because just because your connection is capable of downloading at 5mb/s doesn't mean that the other connection is willing to/capable of sending the data that fast. Bandwidth has to be controlled at both ends.
