    Assuming you already have a website you will need to fill in the meta information. Search Google to see what info they offer here is some. Networking and getting linked also helps, however the use of link farms dose not. If your music is released under Creative Commons you can submit it to Rathole Radio.

    Google Webmaster Tools will index your site if you sign up and fill out all their information. After that, select about 5-10 keywords that you want to represent your site in a search. Then weave those into your content and Google will crawl your site. In time, you will be indexed for those keywords. How high depends on the competition.

    You might want to try Squidoo. It is a free platform where you can write and promote your own work. Even link back to your website add videos and photographs.

    Very Google friendly site.
