    Locating people via internet
Recently a radio talk show gave a web site whereby you could type in a person's full name or first name, middle initial & last name (using Google) and get all kinds of information about them, such as wife's name, children's name, age, etc. Getting this amount of information was free and for a fee you could get more detailed info. The talk show was about voter fraud. A caller spoke about this site and said that he found that 'he' had voted in three different parts of the United States during the last presidential election according to info he got from this web site. The annoncer said that it was probably just three people with the same name... the caller replied, "with all three having the same social security number?", which leads me to believe that if you pay the fee, the SS # is available! That's frightening!! I tried it on my own name, my parents and a few friends and it was accurate! Unfortunately, I failed to keep the web site. Does anyone know what it is?

Hi bhanna1! I was just reviewing the unanswered questions file and noticed your posting. I am sorry that no one has been able to get back to you before now.

The website that I am familiar with that I believe does what you are describing is:

    https://find.intelius.com/

I hope it is the one you were thinking of.

And, yes, the thought that other people can pay for the privilege to access your private information is frightening. Unfortunately, until privacy laws are extended to the internet and sites like this are blocked, it will continue to happen. Even if the laws are enacted, savvy 'puter heads' know how to get around them.

Since I have answered your question, it should come back to the front of the line. Someone else on this site may have additional internet sites to add.

Thanks for being so patient! :)
