    Web site directory folders
    Can anyone tell me what files, (folders) do I need on the directory tree of my web page?

    Is it all the files under the folder with the name of my site, e.g. (www.mysite.com) and all other folders are not needed? When I got my site, I fiddled with Front Page etc. from within CPanel and my site is not done in Front Page. Can I delete any other folders, or which ones can I delete? Thank you. :confused:

    Usually just a single default page file, commonly index.html (exact name is webserver dependent), is all that is needed. However, if your site is being hosted and you are not running your own server, there may be other files and folders there. Check with your hosting provider before deleting and breaking something.

    The folders beginning with _vti_, can be deleted if FrontPage Server Extensions are not installed.
