Every time I try to close my internet an error message pops up and says "internet expolore has stopped working" and then asks if I would like to restart the program or search online for solutions and regardless of what I click on it restarts. How do I fix this?

You need to reinstall Internet Explorer. Something is damaged.

But to close down IE, first open up taskmanager then go to processes. Kill iexplore.exe (I think that's the name, or something similar). Make sure it doesn't restart. Then go reinstalling it as Perito said.

Somewhat off topic: I'd say Google Chrome or Firefox are better. They don't have nearly as many problems as IE. Maybe you can find an even better browser too, but if I were you, I'd think about getting a better browser, or at least update IE VERY FREQUENTLY.

Any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any Software or Hardware that you installed or setup.
