Safe in what way? I don't know of any service that rates safety of all sites.

My heading is "Want to be Hacker-Safe," and avoiding sites which are known, by some,
(not me) to be havens for hackers is my desire. I have lost 6 + computers, and a
Couple of years of fighting hackers in the afore mentioned machines. In the future,
I want to be where there are not! (I am continuing the pursuit, and will not stop until
They are jailed. There must be a service where you can submit a name or address,

Why must there be such a service? How could you trust it even if there was one? Sites come and go so quickly its impossible to track.

I've been using cyberspace for close to 20 years. I have never been hacked. I am careful to go only to sites that are recommended by people I trust.

Where have you been surfing that you would be concerned?

lerrk disagrees: An expert who cannot put the heading with the question. I read his second post. He is full of himself, vapid and insincere. He is presumptious with no credentials to support an implied accusation. A waste of time.

Huh? First, there are many dangers on cyberspace that one might want to be safe from, someone getting access to your PC, spyware, viruses, and more. So I thought it reasonable to ask for further clarification. Second, I think my credentials are more than reasonable. Third, I don't get where you support the ridiculous and vicious personal attack that is in violation of this site's rules. Finally, there was no "implied accusation", merely a curiousity of why you seem so paranoid.

There is Mcafee site advisor, which tells you whether the website you want to view is safe or not but it is also limited to the websites they have tested. Download it here

lerrk disagrees: If Curlyben and ScottGem would use their experience to help the one asking a honest question, much good could be gained. I apologize to ScottGem for my presumptious answer. His reticence in giving aid was no reason for me to reply with pre-judgement.

You still don't get it, do you? I had no "reticence" to giving aid. Instead, I wanted clarification of what specific threats you were concerned about so I could give the best aid I could. Many questions cannot be answered the first time around but require some further clarification.

The site Benn linked for you is a good one, but its limited. I wouldn't bother with it, because hacker sites come and go. They are quickly reported, quickly shut down and just as quickly pop up again. Its like asking someone if its safe to cross a road with a bend. Neither of you can see what's coming around the bend.

As for your so-called apology, When you apology and slap at the same time, it negates the apology. The next time youj ask a question and someone asks for clarification or more info. Give it to them and see what they come up with before you attack them.
