Need to obtain IP address from myspace messages
I pray to god that someone can help me with this one.

Long story short: I had to put a restraining order on my boyfriend's ex. She was stalking us and threatened me several times with a gun. She sent me numerous messages on myspace telling me she was going to kill us, etc. she has also driven out to our house (45 minutes away from her) on several occasions.

Since then, I have been getting messages from what looks to be a fake myspace profile, asking me questions about what is going on with the situation. Since they type like her, and misspell the same words she does, I'm sure it is her. Either she is on a friends page, or she made this page just to contact me.

Well, in order to prove it is her, I have to know if the ip addresses are the same. If not, they can't do anything for me. I have contacted the admins on myspace SEVERAL times but I get no response. I really need some help here. I am in fear of my life.

So, does anyone know how to obtain ones ip address from a simple myspace message?

Would setting your myspace to private prevent her from contacting you through their email?

Only if you block them. She won't directly message me anymore though. I just need to know if this is the same person so I can sleep at night.

I would bet it is since they have the same writing style and misspellings and all.
You could cut and paste all your profile page and make a new identical one only change the profile name stuff and information so she has no idea how to find your new one.

I would but I use my myspace for work and advertisement. I have too many friends to re-add. That just isn't fair to the business. She will somehow find me anyway. She bookmarks all of my friends pages and stalks all of the comments. She would find the new page within a day.
