How to connect Mac Powerbook G3 to internet via my router
I have a BT Wireless Network 1250 router to which one PC is connected physically and another PC connects using a USB Netgear adaptor. I want to also connect a Powerbook G3 but am told it is too old a machine to take an airport card. I have tried plugging it in physically to the router but no luck. I keep getting 'error -50'. The internet connection wizard is asking me to put in IP address and domain name and all sorts of other information that I am not sure about. Is there an easy way of doing this? Can I buy any sort of adaptor like the one I have for my PC which hopefully would detect the signal automatically?

    Thanks.

This may or may not help. It's very general sooo,
Is your g3 running 8.0 or 9.0 anything under system 10.0 or better?
Can you get to your network controls or tcp/ip controls. They may be set with a specific ip address. You would need to change that to dynamically assigned unless you're using static ip's is so you do have to enter specific numbers.
Since error -50 is a networking problem and not a mac problem I would look there first. Also try in the networking section of computers and technology of this forum if you haven't already.
    Good luck.
