    Get rid screensaver
I downloaded a screen saver from the Internet (Google) and it is a nuisance and I would like to delete it. I cannot fiind it on searching the C:/ drive on .scr nor is it in the Add/Remove programmes. I run Windows XP.

    1. Right-click on a blank area on your desktop.
    2. Select Properties
    3. Select Screen Saver tab
    4. Pick a new screensaver, or Blank, or disable it altogether
    5. Click OK

This should take care of the problem. You can leave the .scr file on your system.

    Best of luck,
