    AIM problems
    For some reason when I'm on AOL instant messenger for more than 5 minutes, my IM boxes do all sorts of crazy things.

    1st: Smiley graphics will not show up except as empty boxes.
    2nd: Any IM box that pops up after this time, I cannot type or see any text.
    3rd: Occasionally it will crash out of the blue, no real error specified, just saying that it needs to close.

    Closing the program completely and starting it up again seems to solve the problem temporarily, but not for long.
    I've tried scanning with an anti-virus/spyware program, but nothing shows up, so I don't know.

    Any suggestions ?

    Reinstall AIM and try again.
