    If Corian or poly based, you can use a special carbide blade but it is usually cut from the back. If Granite, Silestone or similar mineral based material, best left to professionals. You will typically need a wet cutting diamond blade saw. Tiles can be dry cut but very dusty. What is the "solid surface"?
