    How do I remove cove base molding without destroying the drywall?

    Score along the top edge of the cove with a utility knife to cut caulking and paint bond. Pull, pry, hope and patch drywall.

    Driving the existing nails through the molding (instead of trying to pry nails out), with a nailset or finishing nail can help minimize the damage also.
