Guide or chart for cutting angles for mouldings
I'm finishing a ceiling and I'm using a 1/2 strapping to create a square section look. I've got a number of corners to navigate and am wondering how I set the compound mitre saw to cut the angles. The issue of course is that none of the angles are true 90 degrees. For example the first inside corner I used a Procise Multi use Protractor to determine that the angle was 95 degrees. What do I set my saw at? Does anyone have a guide or chart they use for a variety of angles?

    Thanks.

Please describe what you are doing in more detail. Are you putting up crown or are you putting up something flat on the ceiling. If your question is how to make a simple 95 degree corner the answer is to cut each piece at 47.5 degrees, or one half the angle of the corner.

When measuring drywall corners be sure to measure out at least 12". The first six inches reflect the finishing by the drywall finisher more than the true angle of the walls.

If trimming inside corner, install one wall with a square cut at end and cope the other wall into it. A cope is achieved by cutting the an inside angle and then removing wood to leave a profile.

And if it is the Crown mentioned, you'll need to check the wall to ceiling squareness, the corner squareness and as was said, 1/2 the full angle for each side, the crown will need to be cut at the spring angle it was manufactured to.
