    groutless kitchen granite tile
I'm getting ready to granite tile my kitchen counter. 12 x 12 inch tiles. I know there is a way to do groutless tiling.. but I can't find any info on it. Most say it's a new tile with a flang.. not what I want. I've bought the tiles already... does anyone know how to do groutless tiling?

The only problem I would see with groutless tile on a counter top is whatever would escape between and how would you clean it out ? Yes, I have heard this too, but I don't think it is perfected yet; you can't do it with ceramic tiles you buy for a grout installation, or granite for that matter. I have heard of the 'butt' method but then again you get back to the problem of cleaning food debris out, etc.

If you want granite counter tops, why not whole piece installation ?

This is only my own opinion, and you may hear from some of our experts here, I just couldn't help putting my two cents in because I have run into application questions like yours. Some people have a lot against grout put it is manageable as long as it is done properly and sealed properly.

    Good luck

I do a lot of this work and never heard of groutless granite tiles. I would think that having ungrouted seams all over the place will just be a breeding ground for bacteria. This may be helpful to you. Granite Tiles & Slabs FAQ
