    Privacy violation laws + life insurance
    My life insurance agent revealed my policy numbers to an unrelated party, can he legaly do this?

    He may have violated some state laws, and you can report him both to his company and to the state insurance license department.

    But what difference does it make, I could post my policy numbers here if I wanted, no one can do a thing with it.

    Who did they give it to and why
