How long must you remain married to the person to obtain permanent residence without having your status revoked if the relationship ends?

    In what country?

Generally if you have permament resident status at the time of the divorce some countries will allow you to keep it if you can show that you can support yourself by other means than public assistance. In a lot of cases though you lose it.
