My second brother was born here in the United States, he applied for my mom so she could become of 'legal status' a few years ago. My mom is now a permanent resident, next year she will be able to apply to become a citizen. But as for now I would like to know if I have to leave the United States...

My husband, a permanent U.S. resident inherited his mother's house and some land in Iran . It has just been settled and he is entitled to 50k. When he gets this does he have to pay taxes on it.
