    L1 Blanket rected; re-applying
My L1 Blanket visa got rejected in June 2010. We are planning to re-apply for it again in December.

Is this not good go for L1 Blanket again? Is there any constraint on that? What is the possibility of getting through this or not getting through?

    Please help

Was this the actual blanket L petition to the USCIS or was this your visa application? What was the reason for the denial?

It was rejected in the consulate during the interview with a blue sheet. Not sure about the reason.

I understand now. Your visa application was denied, the blanket L is the underlying petition. The CONOFF is supposed to give you a written denial, usually a printed sheet with the reason for the denial checked off.

Check the blue sheet. The section 221(g) denial is the standard reason, that you do not qualify for the visa or you don't have the correct documentation.

Do you qualify? Was it for an L-1A or L-1B? Did the company attorney provide you instructions on how to apply, what to bring, etc.

Generally, you can re-apply, but you should be able to overcome the grounds of the 221(g) denial. Best to consult with an attorney with consular processing experience, not many attorneys stateside have such experience. If you show the attorney what you presented, he/she may be able to "forensically" determine the 221(g) denial grounds.

When you discuss the case with your company attorney, have them consider filing an individual L-1 petition rather than have you apply under the blanket. Much more difficult for the CONOFF to deny the visa, as procedurally, they are supposed to the send the petition back for revocation at the originating RSC that approved the petition. After the RSC receives it, they generally issue an RFE or NOIR for your company to respond.

I hope this was responsive to your inquiry, good luck.
