Immigritation eligibility for convicts married to US Citizens
My husband is in a California state prison and was just told that he is being deported for as an administrative deportation for being convicted of a violent crime under immigration reform 586. We have a 4 year old child is he eligible for a visa?

This is a serious issue... you need to consult immigration attorney asap.

To prepare for the consultation with the immigration attorney, have these ready: (1) all your husbands immigraton documents and filings, (2) charging document, (3) court order, and (4) any information regarding an extreme and unusual hardship to you and your child if he were to be deported.

Please note that the hardship is not just the hardship from separation of financial. Typically it will be a medical condition that cannot be treated in his home country, developmental problems with your child, a history of mental or emotional problems, etc. find a certified specialist, check the CA bar association. Good luck.
