I'm holding the two years green card.My husband is abuser, recently he's gone
I'm an immigrant holding the two years green card.My husband is an American citizen and he is abuser and recently he found out that I'm going to a support group and he got mad at me and since then he left the house and he is gone. My question is what are my options so I could submit for the 10 years green card . If it's better for me to divorce him?

Certainly you can divorce him. To get your 10-year PR card, without him petitioning with you, you will need to be divorced and have good evidence of cohabitation (living together as husband and wife) and co-mingling funds. The best would be tax returns (married), joint bank accounts, credit cards, memberships, insurance policies, retirement accounts, etc.

Get pictures and copies of anything mailed to both of you or to you at the marital address.

    Good luck.
