    If my father is an american citzen,can I become a citzen.
    Hi well my father was born in America ,and has an American passport,
    He lives in Ireland with my mother,
    I was born in Ireland and want to know could I become an American citizen?
    Because I would like to emigrate

    How old are you? The process will make a difference if you are over/under 18 years old. If you are under 18, you parents would need to register your birth at a US Embassy or Consulate and of course, prove the citizenship of the US parent. If you are over 18, you need to visit the nearest US Embassy or consulate for instructions. This site has some great information.
