    H1b stamping
    Hi,

I was on B1 Visa, visited US twice during 2008 and 2009. My H1B was approved on August 17, 2009. My B1 Visa is valid for another 9 years.

But I was in India, when I got H1B Approval. As my employer has no Project to work on, I wonder, if I could travel back to US on B1 Visa again, look for a Project, then get the stamping for H1B in US.

My question, if I travel to US on B1 Visa again, will they allow me to clear immigration check during my entry in the airport? I will stay for few months on B1, as soon as I get the Project, then go for stamping in US.

If you enter as B-1, you will have to leave and re-enter as H-1.
