    F1 visa status
    Hi my wife is green card holder, she will be citizen next year. I was in F-1 status and recently got out of status. I have valid I-94. In this case can I travel with in the states? I am in the process of reinstate the F-1 status. Should I seek lawyers help?

    How long have you been out of status?

    If you were out of status over the period of 5 months, then you cannot reinstate F-1. If not over 5 months, get an experienced attorney to walk you through the process.
