    Eligibility for SSN?
    I am on L1 visa and my spouse is on L2, my spouse do not have EAD.
    Can she apply for SSN?
    If yes, which are supporting document she need to submit?

    Hi all,

    Well.. I did little study and found that instead of putting efforts to get ITIN for L2 visa holder, best option is to get the SSN. One need to provide valid I-94, passport and marriage certificate (if in native language provide English translation), and then path to file federal and state tax returns jointly is easy, quick and hassle free.

    Can we take SSN for the kid also (who is 1+ years) who is on L2 visa and born in India.
