I am 16 years old and my be taken away from my home soon by D.C.F because of parents neglect. But I just found out from my mother that my papers to stay here are going to expire and need to be updated (I have no idea how to do so) order. I have been in the country ever sense I was 2years old. I don't know if she telling me this to scare me or can I really be send back to the Islands. Or is there a way for who ever I am staying with to get my Migration papers updated or can I do that myself when I am 18. I was wondering. Its real important. Would they really send a 16 year old child back to somewhere she knows no one alone or can those papers be fixed with immigration with calls or visits or whatever it is they do? Or sense I may be taken out my home will they fix all of that for me by law?

For some sad reason they are telling you this to scare you. If children services take you into custody, they can see about your papers.
