    British / Portuguese Dual Nationality.
    Hi,:)

I have been a legal resident in Portugal now for over 20 years. I just got married to a Portuguese national. I would like to know is anyone can assist that is, if it is possible to acquire Dual Nationality (Portuguese) whilst maintaining my Bristish Passport.
I have heard that by obtaining Portuguese Nationality, I would have to relinguish my British nationality due to the two Countries being members of the EU.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

    Much appreciated.
