    Am I eligible to obtain citizenship?
    I did stupid first time offense on July, 2007 and was charged with theft 50-500. I hired an criminal attorney and finnaly I got charge dismissal in December, 2002 after I had completed theft intervention program and 40 hours community service. I also got expungment in July, 2007. Last month, I requested background check at criminal court and there is no record as a result. Now, I would like to apply for citizenship. Am I elligble to apply? If yes, what do I need to answer for questions from 15 to 22? Please advise.

    You need to always be honest on all of your immigration applications regarding all:

    * Arrests (including those by police, Immigration Officers, and other Federal Agents);
    * Convictions (even if they have been expunged); and
    * Crimes you have committed for which you were not arrested or convicted.

    Even if you have committed a minor crime, Immigration may deny your application if you do not tell the Immigration officer about the incident. It is extremely important that you tell Immigration about any arrest even if someone else has advised you that you are not required to do so.
