    Notice Period
    Hello,

I've recently given my resignation at work which is four weeks,

My question is this, If my employer sacks me do they still have to honor my notice period?

No, they don't have to honour your notice period; they can terminate you and show you the door.

Ok thanks for the response, the only reason I asked was purely because I saw a lot of threads on other sites saying "You could just get the sack and they will have to pay you" again I thought I would ask here to be safe, again I'm not going to go in there causing grief or anything would rather leave on good terms

Without knowing where this is, its hard to answer. Laws vary by area. In general, they do not have to accept your resignation and can terminate you immediately. In the US, theyt would be obligated to pay unemployment if they terminate you.
