    Exempt and non-exempt salary
I know that non-exempt salary employees are paid for overtime. What is the federal legal requirement for an exempt employee. i.e. management?

Are you asking what the definition of an expempt employee is? A few minutes with Google should find that answer. Otherwise I don't understand the question.

Are you asking if exempt employees are paid overtime? If so, typically no and especially no for management level individuals. Some lower level exempt employees may occasionally be paid overtime if their supervisor is agreeable to it.
