    Pay stubs, w-2 forms, and bank statements can prove employment.

    Pay stubs and W2s can prove PAST employment, not current employment. Not sure what bank statements can show about employment.

    Who needs it verified? Usually the person who needs the verification will call that persons employer asking if they can verify current employment. Sometimes done on a corporate letterhead for records, No smart person who needs it ever just takes someone word for it. They have to get it directly from that person employer. They should also not assume anything and verify who it is they are actually talking to is actually someone in HR at that company in a position to give the information and not someones "friend". I've seen that stunt tried before. I've even had someone ask me to do it. I refused because I have integrity and wanted no part of someones attempted fraud. Friend or not.
