    Why does my voice sound weird when I record myself?
    Every time I upload a video to YouTube or a video on the camera my voice sounds snobby and high-pitched. When I do a singing video I always embarrass myself and include ''that's not how I sing".

    Assuming your equipement is good enough, sorry that is how you sound. Most of us think our voices sound a lot different than it really does. We are not really hearing our own voice when we speak, since it is also a echo and vibrations to our brain as we speak.

    We don't hear ourselves as others do. What we "hear" when we speak is more a matter of what we know we are saying and what opur brains process rather than what our ear drums pick up.

    So, I'm sorry to say, what you hear when you play back a recording is what others hear.
