    Surround Sound For My HDTV
I have a Panasonic TC-42PX14 HD Plasma TV, a DVD Player, HD Cable Box and Xbox 360. I would like to know how to connect this to my Sherwood 5.1 Surround Receiver?

Does your surround receiver switch HDMI?

On the receiver, connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI out and component video cables from the component output to your TV.

Then connect HDMI cables from your HD cable box and Xbox to the receiver using HDMI inputs. Connect your DVD player to the receiver using the component video cables and a digital audio cable - optical or coaxial.

Turn on the TV, select your inputs, hdmi for cable or xbox or component for dvd and match the receiver to the source.
