Panasonic TV won't come on
Panasonic th-58pz800u does not come on. Red light comes on and screen acts like it tries to come on (slight brighten of screen). Shortly before this occurred, we had some work done in house and I am afraid an electrical surge may have happened. The TV was connected to a surge protector which was not tripped. Nothing shows up on screen not even menu. Any ideas?

My TV will turn on for a minute and then there is a poofing noise and the screen goes black but it is still on. After about 15 minutes it will come back on and then do the same thing again.
My old panasonic CT-32SX31E won't power up,I found and checked the fuse and it appears fine, and eft the set unplugged overnite but still no power-any suggestions are appreciated.
